2010.010 Pomander, revisted

It’s nice to have these in my window sill, reminding me of the sun’s return, and also of the day when my kids and friends sat together at the table, the scents of orange and clove mingling, laughing and poking until their fingers were sticky and sore. That was about a month ago, and now the pomanders are beginning to shrink. Some have a small amount of mold on them, which I think might be because we forgot to roll them in cinnamon. It adds to the scent, but also dries up the skins. But it’s still the orange and clove that we smell, and they’re very pretty in the sunlight, as you can see!
