This morning it smelled like spring; earthy, dewey, and fairly mild. But flakes began to fall and by noon when I was bringing my daughter home from school, I found the meadow wearing this dusting of snow. When I was heading in to work, out two hours later, the sun was shining, the world was dripping melted snow, and we were back to spring. At 8:30pm I walked out of the office to be greeted by an arctic blast. 20 degrees, wind howling, parking lot icy, car reluctant. Phew! As they say, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait a bit.”
