2010.033 Morning Essentials

Today’s morning came extra early. It was surgery day for my husband, who has been living with the pain of carpel tunnel syndrome. No surgery is fun, but this one at least has a high success rate and low risk, and soon he should be pain free! On the right side, anyway. Left side to follow.

I hadn’t had breakfast, and was facing an extremely busy day at work, so I stopped for breakfast. ~ Sigh ~ Nutella. What wonderful stuff! I have a rule for myself that I’m not allowed to buy Nutella at the market, I can only have it when I find it on a menu. It’s safer that way. Nutella in my pantry would be dangerous. And gone. I actually resisted having it this morning. I knew I really needed protein, not sweets, to get through my day. Oh well… at least I know where to find it when the craving strikes again!

  1. Hi Sally:
I AM FLATTERED!!!!! What can I say. This is what I wish all my customers would do. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I really really appreciate your blog. You should have just given into your temptation, so what. Next time you come in, ask for me so that I can meet you in person. I’ll sit and have coffee with you and whatever you want with Nutella. Actually some boy from Wesleyan asked me to get Nutella and I always listen to my customers, so I did. Every time he comes in he reminds me that he’s the responsible one. I’d love to talk to you about your creative talents. I’m an artist, my husband is the food guy. We love Brew Bakers and our customers. Thank you so much and I hope your husband’s hand is better. Yes, the other hand will follow. I had hand surgery on both hands, Osteo Arthritis. I’m fine now.
    Take care,
    Eloise
